Deb
Haggerty's Email Breast Cancer Diary
Deb Haggerty's breast cancer journey began December 13, 1999. Part of her way to deal with everything that was happening to her was to share her life and her reactions to her breast cancer with her friends around the world. Email made that possible.
Here are the emails she sent, arranged in chronological order, from December 27, 1999 after a mass was discovered in her left breast, through surgeries, recoveries, chemo and calamities, ups and downs to June, 2003, when she felt she could send a thank you email to her supporters and friends. The final email in the series is Deb's Five Year Update.
If you have breast cancer, these emails will give you insight into how the disease affected one other person. You'll find that you're not alone. You should also find things that you can share with people who love you to help them understand what you're going through.
If you love someone who has breast cancer, these emails will tell you things that your loved one may not be able to say and give you some ideas about how you can support the woman you love.
Every woman who gets breast cancer has a unique experience. This is Deb Haggerty's as revealed through a series of emails to her friends.
